Delivery Policy

Policy Outline

This delivery policy outlines the terms and conditions for tiffin meals delivery from TiffinStash. It covers the concept of long distance delivery, tracking link, ETA estimates, and no upstairs delivery policies.

Long Distance Sequential Delivery;
  • TiffinStash uses a highly organized long-distance sequential delivery system.
  • Drivers gather tiffins from a central hub and follow an optimized route for efficient deliveries.
  • This method guarantees timely meal distribution but may not allow for specific delivery time slots.
Delivery Instructions (for drivers)
  • No Upstairs Delivery: Due to our long-distance sequential delivery system aimed at ensuring timely delivery for all customers, we are unable to deliver upstairs in apartments/condos. Please specify a clear ground-level drop-off location (lobby, reception, etc.) and your preferred notification method (call, text, or other) for delivery updates. Do not include your address in the delivery note as it will be asked at the checkout.
  • Free Delivery: This allows us to provide free delivery and guarantee everyone receives their food promptly.
  • Wait Time during delivery: If you've requested an in-person collection, the driver will wait for up to 5 minutes at your stop. If it exceeds 5 minutes, the driver will seek a secure spot to leave the tiffin. If no safe place is available, they'll proceed to the next stop.
  • Precautions: If you live in a house, place a lidded bin outside to keep your tiffin safe from animals and ants.
  • Do not enter any details regarding your tiffin order in delivery instructions such as allergies or skips. Please add such details in the order instructions (for sellers) only.
We strive to maintain consistent delivery timings throughout the day. You will receive the exact delivery time on the first day of your plan or on your trial order.
Delivery Timings and ETA
  • Tracking Link: On the day of delivery, you'll receive an automated Email and SMS containing a tracking link with a 30-45 minute estimated time of arrival (ETA) window. SMS may be blocked by third-party providers, so check your email if you don't receive an SMS. If you don't receive a tracking link by 10 AM for lunch or 4 PM for dinner, please contact our support team. 
  • ETA Changes Frequently: Please note that this ETA may change after the driver begins delivery due to factors like peak-hour traffic, weather conditions, and unforeseen circumstances. Google Maps' ETA does not consider the time spent by drivers at each stop, like waiting for individuals to come down from their apartments.
  • Delivery Proof: As the driver approaches your vicinity, the ETA will no longer update, indicating imminent delivery. Once reached, basis your instructions, the driver will either hand over the tiffin to you or drop off at ground level basis your instructions. In case of latter, he will upload an image of where he delviered the tiffin. 
  • Delivery Time: We deliver lunch between 9 AM to 2 PM, and dinner from 3 PM to 9 PM. Please be aware that delivery times might differ by approximately 45 minutes due to traffic, road closures, or weather conditions.
  • Heat and Enjoy: The tiffins may arrive cold due to the lengthy travel, as drivers maintain a temperature to keep the food fresh. It's advised to heat them before consumption.
